The Spider

A true story

Dear teeny little spider
upon the bathroom wall
however did you get there?
This house has no flies.
Whatever shall you eat?
Dust?
Belly button fluff?

Dear teeny little spider
upon the bathroom wall
wherever is your web?
The window is open wide.
Will you get blown away?
Rain
would be dangerous for you.

Dear teeny little spider
not on the bathroom wall
wherever have you gone?
Have you run away or died?
I will look under my bed.

OH

How you have grown.

About sophiewellstood

Writer of long and short stories, poems and songs. Some of my fiction is traditionally published and in bookshops. I've put some daft poems for younger people / lapsed adults here, as well as some proper swearing, which I enjoy doing a lot.
